Wow. You get a special feeling when you discover a gem before everyone else seems to have figured it out. Like you deserve credit, instead of the awesome chef. Food was awesome, service great, owners involved; like walking around talking to guests. Building a relationship and clientele. What I ate: Tuna avocado. (tartar) Braised lamb. (I love me some lamb!) It's a shame I'm not a local and can't eat here more often.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR TAKEOUT ONLY: I called at 5:05PM on Friday night and they said my meal would ready at 5:30PM. I came at exactly 5:30PM and my order was nicely packed and ready to go. Big plus not having to wait any extra time especially if I'm driving to pick up the order. Osteria Sapori uses Foil Food Containers as most people know they trap as much heat, moisture, and flavor as possible compared to the other options. I ordered a Salad & LINGUINE With Whole Middle neck clams and it had great taste & Flavor and seasoned well. The bread & the Salad were very fresh. I was pretty impressed with the this take out experience at Osteria Sapori so for this I give them 5 Stars.. Well done.. I will be back for a dine in experience soon again

I can't say enough about this place. The food rivals any restaurant on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. Service warm and caring. Atmosphere is dark and cozy. A hidden gem. Risotto, Pasta and Lamb Shank awesome- great portion sizes. A variety of freshly baked bread delish! Large enough so there is never a wait.

Had three fantastic plates of pasta here on a Friday night. This place looks like its brand new (still no sign on the front wall!) but it is definitely a gem! Surrounded by tons of touristy restaurants that serve seafood, this place is an absolute breathe of fresh air. Great staff, great food, and fantastic service.

When you arrive you are greeted by a maitre d not a inexperienced hostess On the weekends there is usually live Italian music playing The place is dimly lit , feels like your in another era. The food is excellent , my wife loves the octopus appetizer, while usually I order the fried zucchini or veal meatballs The pastas are all made from scratch, and you can really taste the difference They also have a selection of Lobster dishes with Lobster risotto being my favorite. Everything we have tried has been great , the spigola , a type of Italian bass is awesome as are all the veal dishes. The wait staff is also very attentive. Maybe a little pricey ,but well worth it.

Went there last night with 7 people, food was good, but very small portions for the price. We order one round of Perone beer, and the next round the waiter stated they had no more Perone beer, no problem since we really did not account on drinking Perone beer, but they only had one beer on tap and two others to choose from. So we went with one of the other two. They need a bigger selections and other tap beers. They also need a real sign to make the place look like it's open. Bill was $360 for 7 people, not bad if the food was a little better and the portions were bigger. Not sure if we will be back, considering there's so many better Italian Restaurants in the area.

I usually skip salads unless they are part of the meal. Last night I broke that tradition and thoroughly enjoyed insalate caprino, consisting of red beets, goat cheese and hearts of palm. The extraordinarily attentive waiter helped portion it perfectly for sharing. We also enjoyed an eggplant based pasta dish, the name of which escapes me. We rounded out the meal with a full bodied Argentinian Malbec. I'm fussy about red wine and this was no fuss at all! Impeccable service, calm ambiance, delicious food. We'll be back.

This is a place I am anxious to come back to as it was both very good and had very good service. We came in on a Sunday for a really early dinner (after skipping lunch). The restaurant was not crowded yet, but it definitely had plenty of seating if it did. A large bar as well with lots of seating. Our waiter was courteous, friendly, and attentive. As we were eating early and light, my mother and I split the aracini and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was delicious - in a very good vodka sauce with sausage that added flavor but didn't overpower the delicious little gnocchi. We ate it all. The aracini came with 5 balls that were about the size of a golf ball and stuffed with risotto, meat, and mozzarella. They were quite delicious, but some of the other tables did have better looking appetizers, I'll admit (the calamari, in particular, looked great.) I'll be back for the service alone, but the food is delicious as well. Really a surprising find in the Cove that I didn't expect to be quite as good as it was.

The only reason I'm reviewing this establishment is because of the overwhelming good reviews herein. A friend of mine and I decided to go outside of our usual go-to Saturday night places to try this restaurant due to the many favorable Yelp reviews. We arrived at the space to find a relatively empty place; mind you the actual restaurant is very big and pretty new. As a result, I didn't even think twice. The place smelled clean and the staff was very nice. Our waiter was helpful, the drinks were good. The "tapas" were also nice. However, the entrees were very lack luster. In fact, the chicken parm we ordered was downright "below average." I ordered the paella. I would recommend. We had three other entrees, all of which didn't impress. The prices are relatively modest, which is nice. But, the food has to be good regardless. Alas, it was not. I do hope management improves the food preparation as I can see that the people who have started this new establishment do "care."

Absolutely wonderful food and service! Definitely coming back. Enjoyed the veal meatballs, zucchini carpacchio, magherita pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and branzino! The chocolate cheesecake topped it off! Will be back!

If I could give 100 stars I would ! My experience was absolutely incredible ! Every little thing was perfect . From the ambiance to the food to the service ... Impeccable ! This is defiantly one of the best restaurants I've been to , and I've been to tons of places ! You must try the meat stuffed gnocchi ! I will defiantly be back !! Ps . . I also read a review stating service was "slow" considering all of their dishes are made from scratch including their pastas I would beg to differ ! I mean who makes their own pastas these days !!! Amazing

Superb service and excellent food. We had frutti di mare (mixed seafood salad) as good as we ever had in Italy. The entree was a small piece of branzino with broccoli, and also large shrimp on a bed of spelt, peas and mushrooms. Dessert was ricotta cheesecake and chocolate ice cream. The wines by the glass (eg, Vermentino) are excellent. The prices are a bit steep and I would call this fine dining. The food is special and worth it.

Wow.......not really sure what all the buzz is about. In an area filled with great quality Italian food, this place is no where near par for the neighborhood. While the drinks are generous, the bread is good, but it really fails to deliver on basic taste. If you decide to go, just be aware, you're experience may not mirror most of the reviews. I won't be back.

The place has very good service and the food was pretty good although a little overpriced. HOWEVER, I did get food poisoning after eating there. I believe it was from the truffle oil in the pasta dish i got. The other food I tried was pretty good, but DO NOT GET THE TRUFFLE OIL PASTA DISH!

Came here to visit from San Francisco and thought, where can I go in this town and won't be disappointed? Well, I saw the great reviews and decided to come on a Sunday night. There wasn't a crown which was concerning but have it a shot anyways. I always use bread as an indication of the quality of food. If they don't care about the bread, how much care they will put in the food? The bread was excellent btw, warmed up with a soft inside and a crispy crust. The butter was room temp and savory Price. We got 5 pasta dishes, 2 apps, came to 160 w tip. Pappardelle, spaghetti, risotto, gnocchi, and some truffle oil dishes were great... Except the truffle oil one. Apps, calamari and rabbit croquette was fantastic Def worth a return trip

We shared a mixed salad which was terrific. Without even asking, the waiter split the salad which was so nice. Everything on the menu looked delicious but we settled in linguini and claim sauce and the paella. Coming from the northeast we know Italian cuisine, so were skeptical about this place. After our first visit we were convinced that this is the real deal. We will definitely be back.

Just great food and service. Restaurant was full but the service was excellent. Everything that the 4 of us order was just perfect. You can't go wrong here.

2nd Ess Eff'er (SF) to offer a review, and we are serious foodies in our ville by The Bay... Excellent!!! in a word. We had attempted to go to one of the DB A1A seafood places and were wait-timed out of eating there. Decision to head inland and a check of Yelp led us (myself and my local Highland Beach parents) here. Mom and I had a snapper special that was elegantly presented on a long rectangular plate with the components carefully layered as one would expect in a high-end urban restaurant. Stepdad had a house-made pasta dish that he was quite satisfied with. For dessert we had the Ricotta Cheesecake, which while different from North Beach or Little Italy, was quite delicious with not a speck to be found on plate when it was taken away. Folks are adding it to list of places to regularly visit and know I will be back on future trips.

We came to plaza for what use to be Station House. Instead, we found that it was turned into osteria sapori. We figured why not try it! No host/hostess to greet at door, seated by bartender. We were only 2 under age 60. Very poor lighting, food was not impressive, in fact out meatball appetizer seemed raw and undercooked. Eventually our table was turned over to a server. Although there were only 4 tables of customers, service slow.

4 of us had a very lovely dinner here last night. We had 3 apps that we shared and a Pizza. In addition I had a 1/2 order of spaghetti and veal meatballs that everyone tasted (the sauce was delicious) The restaurant has a great ambiance, the food is excellent, parking is easy, service is outstanding....what more could you ask......try it

Incredible restaurant, with awesome atmosphere and friendly service. I have been to many italian restaurants in south florida, and this is definitely in the TOP 3. The carpaccio and pizza is awesome! Gotta try more next time...it's more formal than most restaurants, but dont let that scare you! You will feel welcome no matter what you wear!

Fresh pasta! What more can you want? You might want everything at Osteria. The team of attentive servers quickly welcomed us. We started with the burratta special which was a wonderful combination of creamy mozzarella, balsamic roasted eggplant, cherry tomatoes and arugala. I had the lobster ravioli. It was delicate and rich with a lobster bisque sauce. My fellow diners enjoyed the stuffed shrimp and daily pasta special - pasta stuffed with homemade sausage and a prosciutto tomato sauce. Reasonably priced dinner and wine as well. Go now, go often!

Tonight was my fourth time dining at Osteria Sapori. I love this restaurant. If I was local, I would eat here every week and be fat as a pig. The meal was fantastic, the ambience was wonderful, and the staff was superb. Our meals (tonight I ordered the wild boar and leek fettuccine-highly recommend) were delicious (consistently delicious with each visit). Although this won't apply directly to people who dine out without food allergies, I do think what I am about to share sheds light on how much the Chef cares about what comes out of the kitchen and how everyone who works there cares about their restaurant. My husband has multiple food allergies (chicken, fish, and nuts) making it difficult for him to eat out. Our waiter, the restaurant staff, and the chef were absolutely the best (matched only in our experience by Chef Kevin Crawley formerly of Coriander) in making sure that my husband's meal was free of any possible cross contamination and that my meal was safe for him, too (in case we wanted to share), which was an unexpected and unusual treat for us. We will be back!

Was very surprised and pleased to find this gem hidden in Cove center. Friendly and caring service in combination with great food makes this place a winner We have eaten at many fine restaurants and this compares with the best in Italian food in the area with a vast menu, attentive service and casual ambiance. We will certainly be back. Home made pastas , calamari, and specials were the hit for the evening. Moderate priced and worth it.

Went to eat here based on reviews. Generally, I try not to give negative reviews because I don't want to hurt anyone's business, however this place flat out does not deserve 4.5 stars. Was it awful? No. The service was great. The bruschetta was fresh and delicious. The beet salad was "ok", nothing over the top. The cavatelli was tasty, but was essentially a Marsala sauce with a drizzle of truffle oil. The chicken parm was bland and really not good. This is an average Italian restaurant. The decor is nice. It's new and clean and a nice place to go for dinner but the food is very average. In an area where there are literally tons of great Italian options, this one just didn't hit the mark and certainly doesn't deserve some of the reviews I've read. Again, was it awful? No. Was it great? No. Will I go back? Not likely, unless I hear from someone I know and trust that it has improved. My general rule of thumb is if I can make it better at home then it's not worth a trip back. Unfortunately I could have made it all better at home. Hopefully it's just shaking off the rust of a new restaurant and it improves because I really wanted it to be superb and it just fell way short.

We didn't realize this place had changed ownership. It used to be Station House then Angelo's Station House and now it's Osterio, but we are sure glad it's here. When first entering you realize the place is huge, it was Sat night and there were still plenty of tables available. The restaurant had a good buzz to it even though it wasn't full. Started off with meatball app which were delicious, but had a different wonderful taste and feel...might have been the veal used. We also had a flatbread pizza, all of us devoured it and we're dipping the crust in the meatball sauce. The dinners were equally amazing; there were four of us and we shared the rabbit, (first time I ever ate thumper but loved it) seafood risotto ( full of scallops, clams, shrimp and squid or octopus) and stone crab. Everyone was raving about the food, which is exactly the type of restaurant Deerfield needs. Not only was the food fantastic, but the waiters were professional. This was an added bonus in Florida since professional wait staff with knowledge of wines and food is a rarity The wines are very reasonably priced ( think Caymus was about $100) and great selection of California, Italian and some frenchies. Almost forgot about the deserts, perfect. I hope this place keeps up the quality and word spreads. We absolutely loved it!

We live around the corner and I can't believe we haven't stopped in sooner. Great atmosphere and service. The waiter was excellent with recommendations and the whole staff was friendly. The meatballs were to die for. The sea bass was excellent and when my boyfriend couldn't decided between two pasta dishes and the brought small portions of both on the same plate. The ravioli was delish. All around this was a fantastic experience and the couple at the table behind us shared that this was their new favorite place. I have to agree. We will be back...often.

We started with baked clams followed by veal meatballs, both delicious. Then we shared paella which also was delicious and we had leftovers. No dessert but I did have a cappuccino. Wait staff was excellent. It was late Sunday evening and not crowded. We will return. Hope it has more success than the last two.

Ate here the other night when we decided we didn't want to wait 45 minutes for Casa Maya. Were seated quickly and the service was great. The manager and waiter think very highly of the food and it shows. That's a good thing-they believe in their product and they were polite and professional--not cocky. Our table ordered the lasagna (at their recommendation), gnocchi and the paparadelle bolognaise. Also had the beets and goat cheese appetizer. The pastas were perfectly cooked, but the sauces--which are the whole ball game--were very average. Of the dishes the lasagna was the best but really it was unremarkable compared to other restaurants. (I slightly prefer the lasagna at Cafe Med which I had 2 nights before). The Vodka sauce gnocchi was very bland and I was disappointed (one of my dinner companions who tried it said it needs some salt, but really it was just unremarkable). So, all told, the food was fine, the atmosphere was very nice, and the service was good. I think the food is probably about as good as Cafe Med, though it varies by dish, with a nicer more upscale atmosphere and somewhat better service.

Just finished our third visit to Osteria Sapori! It is fantastic each time we go there. The bolognese sauce is amazing and really every dish we have had there is fantastic. It is perfect for a date night, family dinner or out with friends. This place is a must to go to when visiting Deerfield Beach!

A lively and Italian restaurant with an energetic staff. Appetizers came promptly and were tasty. We ordered pastas and most were fine but my ravioli special arrived luke warm and late, no doubt having sat at for a while during a busy evening. A manager came over to enquire about our food and I described this issue to him for which he thanked me perfunctorily and promptly left. Perhaps better service will come with time.

A beautiful, high quality restaurant with a large bar, attentive & friendly bartenders and wait staff, and exceptional food. We enjoy cocktails and small plates - Burrata with arugula, veal meatballs, flatbread pizza with smoked BBQ pork, ahi tuna crudo salad. Very good happy hour prices and tapas menu at bar.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
